About Method to the Madness

“Though this be madness, yet there is method in’t.”

That famous line from Shakespeare’s Hamlet reminds us that even in chaos, there’s purpose. And that’s exactly how Method to the Madness came to life. What started as a wild dream between two chefs became a thoughtfully crafted reality: a place where good food, great coffee, and genuine connection take centre stage. Along the way, plenty of people smiled and said, “I hope there’s method to your madness!”

As it turns out, there was.

Reagan and Urvik

Step inside and you’ll find a warm, modern café filled with greenery, light, and a little Shakespearean charm. Curl up with one of the Bard’s classics from our rustic bookshelf, sip a freshly brewed coffee, and let the madness of the outside world fade away.

Shakespearean cafe in Kenmore

Our menu is a celebration of flavour. You’ll find old favourites with a twist, like our signature Chilli Scrambled Eggs, and a few surprises that will keep you coming back for more.

And because no good story begins without coffee, our baristas have you covered with expertly brewed specialty blends and the smoothest cold drip in town.

Perched on the corner of Marshall Lane and Moggill Road in the heart of Kenmore, Method to the Madness has become a local hub. It’s a place for family breakfasts, lazy lunches, and the occasional dinner. Locals love to bring their pups along too. Because good coffee’s always better with a wagging tail by your side.

So yes, there’s definitely method to our madness. And we’d love you to be part of it.

Meet the team

Reagan

Reagan

Owner/Manager/Barista

Reagan’s hospitality story kicked off in Melbourne, where he started front-of-house before diving headfirst into the kitchen. He’s got an eye for detail, a big grin for regulars, and a knack for turning everyday meals into a bit of theatre. After years helping others open restaurants, he decided it was time to create something of his own. And when Urvik called with a wild idea about bringing Melbourne’s coffee culture to Brisbane, he was all in. Together, they’ve they’ve built a café where good food, good humour, and a dash of madness rule the day.

Urvik

Urvik

Owner/Manager

Urvik landed in Australia with big dreams and a hunger to learn. He spent years in Melbourne’s buzzing kitchens, mastering the art of flavour. After plenty of late nights, early starts, and probably too much caffeine, he opened his first café in Murrumbeena. When the chance came to swap Melbourne’s laneways for Brisbane’s sunshine, he packed his knives – and a few months later Method to the Madness was born.
